This week, we finished and assessed over Topic 15: Measurement. We learned how to measure in inches, feet, yards, centimeters and meters.
We used the book, The Caterpillar and the Polliwog, to work on main idea and dialogue. We also learned how to turn a simple sentence into a complex sentence.
We used our mentor text to learn about main idea, the life cycle of a frog and butterfly. We also worked on understanding dialogue.
There were no word work words this week. We had our last quarterly assessment over the words we covered 4th quarter.
This week your child got to share some of their opinion pieces they have been working so hard on this quarter.
Students had a BLAST demonstrating their instruments this week. I was AMAZED at their creativity.
We also had a great time doing hands on life cycle activities as well!
