Field Day

Dear Parents or Guardians:

On Monday, May 15, K-4 students will be participating in a Field Day event to be held at the high school track and field complex.  This event will allow the children to have a fun time at the end of the school year and disperse some of that extra energy.  Kindergarten students will start riding the bus over to the track at 8:20 am.  They will immediately start Event #1 when they get there. We will continue to transport kids until the last 2nd Grade bus arrives.  The 3rd and 4th grade will walk to the track on sidewalks and the gravel trail.

There will be 11 events in all with one event being a snack and bathroom break.  Each event will last around 10 minutes before students rotate to the next one.  Parents are allowed to come and cheer on their children. When the K-2 students are done with their event, they will be brought back to the school by bus.  Upon arriving at school, they will eat their sack lunches outside. The 3rd and 4th grade will walk to the city park and eat their lunches and walk back to the school afterward.

Please prepare your child with a water bottle, comfortable clothes to play in, sunscreen, and tennis shoes.  Caps and sunglasses are optional, if your child needs them.
Thanks so much for a great year!!!
